Stokes move could still be on

Reading between the lines it looks like John Hughes is resigned to losing Anthony Stokes to the lure of Parkhead. Hibs boss John Hughes was not very forthcoming about a possible deal that would see Anthony Stokes move along the M8 to don the green and white of Celtic. Stokes has been linked with a move to Celtic before the transfer deadline and was understated during the 1-0 loss to St Mirren. Hughes said: "I felt he was poor, but I can understand it with everything on his mind; sometimes you play on emotions and if it was to be his last game I thought he might go out with a bang, but it didn't materialise. Everybody thinks it's a done deal but that's far from the case and if he's here when the window shuts and I can add one or two, I'll be a happy guy - I'm still looking to bring two players in, and that's with all the hard work that's been put in at the stadium."
