The Hoops battled their way into the last eight with a replay win at home against Old Firm rivals Rangers and are now hot favourites to go on and win the trophy.
However, the Celtic striker believes it is folly to write off the Highlanders, who have twice knocked the Parkhead club out of the competition, in 2000 and 2003.
Stokes said: "After beating Rangers in this competition, everyone more or less thinks it is over but it is never going to be that easy.
"We have to give Inverness the same respect that we gave to Rangers in the last round.
"We have to be focused and go up there to try and get a result."
