Croatia goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa has revealed his failed trial with Celtic cost him a significant pay-off from Spartak Moscow.[LNB] The 32-year-old tore up his contract, which had a year left to run, in anticipation of a less lucrative deal with Celtic.[LNB]But he could not impress Celtic manager Neil Lennon sufficiently in friendlies against Cardiff and Wolves.[LNB]Pletikosa told the Scottish Sun: "I really wanted to play for Celtic, but I think now it was a big mistake that I agreed to stay more than three days and played two games.[LNB]"I broke my contract with Spartak Moscow, which was worth a lot of money, because I felt it would help me play for Celtic.[LNB]"I was also prepared to accept a wage three times less. But now I have to find a club elsewhere.[LNB]"I felt I deserved to get a contract. I'm sure I would have been a very good goalkeeper for Celtic."[LNB]Lennon will now pursue other options for competition for Lukasz Zaluska.[LNB]The Celtic boss is also looking for a striker, with Manchester City's Craig Bellamy still on his list.[LNB]"There's still interest in Craig but it's dictated by finances," Lennon said.[LNB]
