Player annoyed at lack of contact from Preston Chairman. Celtic Transfer Window target Sean St Ledger has today revealed his annoyance at the actions of Preston Chairman Derek Shaw            after the English Club blocked all attempts by Celtic to sign the player. “The club didn’t accept a bid so I just have to get on with it,” St Ledger said ruefully. “If would have been nice if the chairman had returned my calls though. It would have been nice to be kept in the loop and he still hasn’t spoken to me which is disappointing.” This sounds like a clear case of the Chairman being unable to look the player in the eye after snubbing his dream move, however who can blame him a chairman who attempts to keep the best players at his club. St Ledger however is still keen on the move and possibly this is not the end of this particular story. “The move is something I would have definitely considered if there had been a bid accepted,” he said. ”I think everyone who plays for Ireland always has a link to Celtic. The draw of Champions League football was great but it wasn’t to be. There is also the draw of playing in front of 60,000 fans but that is over now. “It’s a pity because you just have to look at the scenes from the other night when Robbie [Keane] went there. You could see all the Irish flags, that would have been great.” Yours in Celtic Clydebuilt
