Celtic could meet Aberdeen as often as Rangers if the cup games go the right way. Celtic could face Aberdeen in another semi-final following the draw for the last four of the Scottish Cup. If Celtic beat Inverness in their rearranged game on Wednesday, they will will play the winners of the Pittodrie replay between Aberdeen and St Mirren on the same night. If things work out it would be a repeat of their Co-operative Insurance Cup semi-final against Aberdeen, when Celtic won 4-1 in January to reach the final of the Co-operative Insurance Cup. With all eight quarter-finalists in the hat, there were more questions than answers following the draw, with Dundee United or Motherwell facing either Brechin or St Johnstone in the other tie. St Johnstone and Brechin will replay at McDiarmid Park next Tuesday following their 2-2 draw, the same scoreline shared by United and Motherwell. The Fir Park replay has been confirmed for 29 March 29, although both clubs may yet seek a new date given the game falls two days after Scotland face Brazil, and on another international date.
