Samaras exit talk quashed

The lawyer acting on behalf of striker Georgios Samaras insists that the Greece international will see out the final year of his Celtic contract.

The 25-year-old was recently quoted as saying that he would consider an approach from Serie A outfit Palermo, but Dr Gregory Ioannidis has dismissed such suggestions.

He said: "We would like to dismiss all recent publications and/or rumours that Mr Samaras wishes to leave Celtic FC.

"On the contrary, we would like to state unequivocally that Mr Samaras will see out his remaining year at Celtic until and when Celtic tell him otherwise.

"This is the time of the year where numerous reports claim things that do not reflect reality."
