Royals have rejected Long bids
Reading have rejected bids for Shane Long this summer which have not matched anywhere near their valuation of the star striker.[LNB] Director of football Nick Hammond has revealed the interest in the Republic of Ireland international, who has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs as well as Scottish side Celtic following his 25 goals last season.[LNB]The Royals are believed to be holding out for a fee in excess of £7million for the 24-year-old's services.[LNB]Hammond told the Reading Post: "We have had a lot of interest - strong interest in Shane and we've anticipated that.[LNB]"We've had offers for the player but nowhere near the levels that are going to tempt us to do business."
