Roussey: Parkhead is a temple

Sion coach Laurent Roussey has declared Celtic Park a "temple of football" ahead of Thursday night's Europa League play-off tie.[LNB] Roussey hopes his players will be inspired when they take on the Hoops in the first leg in Glasgow.[LNB]The Swiss side trained on the Parkhead pitch on Wednesday night and the former Saint Etienne and Toulouse striker claimed he could already sense the atmosphere that will be generated by the home support, many of whom get in free as part of their season book package.[LNB]"It is a lovely stadium, it is a temple of football," said Roussey.[LNB]"As soon as you walk on the pitch you can feel the atmosphere that can be created if its full.[LNB]"Throughout my career as a player I played in big, big stadiums and this is one of them. You can see, it is a real football stadium.[LNB]"Players and coaches are all in the game to play in these stadiums so I would hope it will give them a lift and overcome any fear that they have.[LNB]"The first thing we can do is make sure we don't damage the next game so if we leave with a draw we will be happy."[LNB]The ongoing confusion surrounding Sion's squad list, however, threatens to overshadow the tie.[LNB]Roussey has five players in his squad who are, in the eyes of FIFA, ineligible to play in the first leg.[LNB]Sion allegedly broke a registration embargo by the world football governing body at the weekend when Pascal Feindouno, Mario Mutsch and Gabri all lined up against Lucerne, after a Swiss court ruled they could play.[LNB]Jose Goncalves and Billy Ketkeophomphone are also in Sion's European squad approved by the Swiss FA who, along with the club, have reportedly been warned by UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino about possible sanctions.[LNB]The Court of Arbitration for Sport will rule on the issue but will not pass their verdict until after the second leg next Thursday.[LNB]However, Roussey seemed relaxed about the situation.[LNB]"I am the coach, I am here to play the game," said the Frenchman who vowed to pick from his full squad.[LNB]"I don't have any explanations. It is a matter for my boss.[LNB]"It is the same in Switzerland, everyone talks about it but we try not to think about it. We are here to play the game.[LNB]"If we win the game I've done my job then what happens after that has nothing to do with me."
