Thomas Rogne wants to be part of a winning team and not just somebody who makes occassional apearances for the side Norwegian defender Thomas Rogne is feeling guilty that he has not been able to show the fans what he is fully capable of. He has been held back back a series of injuries since his arrival in January and feels he owes the club and the fans for the faith they have shown in him so far. Sunday's game at St Mirren was only his seventh appearance in the Hoops. Rogne said: "This year has definitely matured me. The injuries have been an experience - it's not a good one but it's still an experience. It's just like being a normal employee when you are sick. If you love your job it's frustrating when you can't be there. I want to go out there and show people what I can do and, when I don't get the chance to do that, it's frustrating more than anything. I don't feel like I've had my chance yet because there is always a setback. I haven't played a lot of games so I still have a lot to prove but hopefully I can do that soon. I played a few games last season and I think I did all right. We've also kept a clean sheet in the games I've played in this season but I still feel I have a lot to prove to the coaches, the players, to the fans and to myself. I know I can do better than what I've done so far." While he accepts that injuries are part and parcel of the game, he does not want his time at Parkhead to be remembered for the amount of time he was unavailable. Rogne does not want to look back but to the future. He went on: "You can't really moan about it because it happens and there's nothing you can do about it. But my mental side is probably one of my strengths as a footballer. When something happens, I always manage to just forget about it and keep going. The doc and the physios have been brilliant with me. Their main job almost is just to keep me patient because all I want to do is get back on to the pitch." He is one players who will not be bad mouthing referees despite being left out of the team for the game against Hearts. Ronge said of his sending off: "It was more embarrassing than anything to be honest. When you look at players' careers, you are always going to find a red card somewhere. These things happen. But it was bad defending. It should never have happened and it kept me out of the Hearts game, which was disappointing. The referee was right. I was the last man so it was a good decision."
