Morten Rasmussen has not won over the Mainz management Mainz have ruled out a permanent move for Morten Rasmussen so he looks certain to be heading back to Parkhead in the summer. The Danish striker is currently on a season-long loan in Germany after dropping down the pecking order at Parkhead. After a bright start to his loan spell, Rasmussen has found himself out of favour recently and Mainz sporting director Christian Heidel insists they will not take up the option to sign the player on a permanent deal. Heidel said: "Morten has some problems in the transition to our style of play. He's a penalty-box striker but we are not the sort of team who put the opposition box under siege and throw balls into strikers from the wings. We have him on loan until the summer. Nothing else is being considered.”
