Pompey boss coy over Naylor link

Left-back Naylor has been linked with a move to Fratton Park following the arrival of Danny Fox at Parkhead from Coventry. Hart was prepared to admit that he is working hard to strengthen his squad and when asked directly about the former Wolves man, the Fratton Park boss did not deny an interest. He told the Portsmouth News: "We've got a lot of targets and we are looking at a lot of players and trying to whittle them down to get them in." Hart watched his side suffer a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Benfica in Portugal and admitted that addressing a shortage of strikers would be a priority. Mark Viduka remains a possible target, with former Wigan forward Amr Zaki also strongly linked with a switch to the South Coast. He added: "The fact is we have hardly signed a player yet, while there were three trialists out there against Benfica. But I still thought the players worked tremendously hard. "We've got targets and we are trying to close those down. Hopefully as soon as we get back perhaps we can have some updates. "I've been working (on transfers) while in Portugal, but it's much easier when you're actually there in England and I'm hoping one or two things may happen this week. "We haven't got many strikers. We are looking at other players but obviously strikers are important." Hart has moved to deny reports that Modeste M'Bami is set to sign a two-year deal, while Fabrice Pancrate, Yassin Moutaouakil and Eugen Bopp are also under consideration. He said: "I think that's a bit advanced in that statement about M'Bami. "I have to do make a decision eventually. We'll get back and see how we are and see if we have to make decisions sooner rather than later."
