Pilgrims looking to loan Sheridan

The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season with Motherwell, for whom he score two goals in 13 appearances in the Scottish Premier League. Before his loan spell at Fir Park, Sheridan netted three times for the Hoops in November 2008. He remains on the fringes of the Hoops squad following the arrival of Tony Mowbray at Parkhead and Paul Sturrock is keen to bring him to Home Park to link up with his Irish international team-mate Alan Judge, claims the Plymouth Evening Herald. Judge arrived back in Plymouth on loan from Blackburn for the 2009/10 campaign earlier this week. Argyle are still in talks with forward Alan Gow over a possible switch to Devon after agreeing a fee of around £200,000 with Rangers. Currently, Sturrock has just three frontmen available for Saturday's Championship opener away to Crystal Palace - Rory Fallon, Steven MacLean and youngster Ashley Barnes - after Bradley Wright-Phillips was ruled out for around six weeks with a knee injury.
