Jackie McNamara's Partick beat a largely youthful Celtic XI 2-1 in a pre-season encounter at Firhill on Saturday.[LNB] Emilio Izaguirre, Jos Hooiveld and Morten Rasmussen all featured for the visitors, and the latter had an early volley saved by Scott Fox.[LNB]But it was the Jags who took the lead when Chris Erskine beat Josh Thompson for pace and cut the ball back for Paul Cairney to slot under Nick Feely from six yards.[LNB]Celtic substitute Marcus Fraser (20), who had replaced the injured Hooiveld, crossed for Rasmussen to knock into the path of Greg Spence to finish with his head from six yards.[LNB]Fox then denied Celtic a second goal when he got down at the feet of Patrik Twardzik after he had beaten the offside trap.[LNB]The winner came from Thistle substitute Tommy Stewart when he blasted a drive from 20 yards past Feely into the top corner.
