Palermo chief talks up Samaras

Italian Serie A outfit Palermo have expressed an interest in signing Celtic's Greece international striker Georgios Samaras.[LNB] The Bhoys could be willing to entertain offers in the region of £2million for the 25-year-old marksman, who has scored 10 SPL goals this season.[LNB]The ex-Manchester City man has one year left on his Parkhead contract, meaning he would be a free agent next summer.[LNB]Palermo's sporting director Walter Sabatini is a big fan of Samaras, but stopped short of confirming the club's intentions.[LNB]"Palermo for Samaras? He has been at many clubs but is a good player," explained Sabatini.[LNB]"Samaras is a strong player, who has improved a lot playing in different football environments.[LNB]"He certainly has a lot of qualities."
