O'Dea pens Bhoys deal

Celtic's young defender Darren O'Dea has pledged his future to the club by penning a new contract that will keep him at the Glasgow giants until the end of the 2009-10 campaign, with the option of another 12 months.

The Dublin-born 20-year-old made his first-team debut five months ago in the CIS Cup victory over St Mirren.

He has gone on to make 15 more appearances for Gordon Strachan's side, scoring three goals.

O'Dea started both legs of the Bhoys' recent Champions League encounters against AC Milan.
