Mark Wilson has committed his future to Celtic after agreeing a one-year contract extension until the end of the 2011/12 season.
Defender Wilson's existing deal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign and his new contract includes the option to extend his stay for a further year.
A Celtic statement read: "Celtic Football Club is delighted to announce that Mark Wilson has agreed a new one year contract with the club, with Celtic having the option of a further year."
The 26-year-old has made 108 appearances for Celtic since signing from Dundee United in January 2006.
On Thursday Wilson was also named in the Scotland squad for the March 27 friendly with Brazil after making his international debut against Northern Ireland last month.
The international honours can been seen as just reward as Wilson has become an integral figure in a Celtic team which is challenging for trophies on three domestic fronts this season.
The full-back has made 22 appearances this term, scoring on three occasions, including the winner in the controversial Scottish Cup fifth round win over Rangers on March 2.
Wilson was suspended for Wednesday night's 2-1 Scottish Cup quarter-final win at Inverness, but is likely to return to the side for Sunday's Co-operative Insurance Cup final with Rangers at Hampden.
Celtic lead Rangers by two points in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title race but have played a game more than their Old Firm rivals.
