Naylor completes Hoops switch

Lee Naylor has completed his £600,000 switch from Wolves to Celtic, with Charlie Mulgrew moving in the opposite direction.

Left-back Naylor signed a three-year contract at Celtic Park, with the option of a further 12 months, after passing a medical on Thursday.

The 26-year-old played over 290 league matches for Wolves after breaking into the first team in 1997 and Molineux chief Mick McCarthy was reluctant to sell.

However, Celtic's offer of cash plus a direct replacement in the form of Mulgrew proved too tempting to resist.

Mulgrew, 23, did not make a first-team appearance after progressing from Celtic's youth set-up, but enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Dundee United last season.
