Murphy warns Braga

Braga will not know what has hit them when they run out at Parkhead for Wednesday night's Champions League return against Celtic, according to Daryl Murphy.

The Portuguese runners-up will travel to Glasgow this week boasting a 3-0 lead in their third qualifying-round tie after a thumping first-leg win six days ago. The advantage should be enough to end Celtic's Champions League dream for another season but summer signing Murphy claims the visitors will not have reckoned with the 60,000 baying fans that will greet them at Parkhead.

"They're in for a shock," said the striker, who joined from Sunderland two weeks ago. "Obviously, they've heard about it and probably watched games on the television and seen it."

He added: "But they'd obviously have to experience it for themselves and it will be very intimidating for them to come with such a packed stadium."

Murphy is desperate to start on Wednesday in what would be his competitive home debut.

"I'm definitely ready," said the 27-year-old.

"It's obviously up to the manager to choose who's going to play, or what way he's going to arrange the team.

"If I'm on the bench or if I'm starting, it doesn't matter. I'll be ready for it."
