Daryl Murphy made a scoring debut for Celtic as a Parkhead XI beat Lincoln City 4-1 to lift the John Reames Memorial Trophy at Sincil Bank.[LNB] The home side took the lead in the 16th minute through summer signing Albert Jarrett, who blasted home following good work from Mustapha Carayol.[LNB]However, Murphy, signed recently from Sunderland, drove in the equaliser from the edge of the box in the 38th minute before Ben Hutchinson made the most of some hesitant Imps' defending to give the visitors the half-time lead.[LNB]Two goals in as many minutes midway through the second half from Hutchinson and Simon Ferry completed the scoring.[LNB]It was a good afternoon's work for Hoops' boss Neil Lennon who handed starts to Murphy, along with youngsters Ritchie Towell and Paul Slane, with six more earning their first appearance from the bench.[LNB]Paul McGowan went close with an ambitious strike on 11 minutes after Slane set him up at the edge of the box.[LNB]But the former Motherwell striker had to make an early exit almost immediately after failing to shrug off an earlier tackle.[LNB]That handed James Keatings a debut appearance in the first-team as he slotted straight into Slane's position on the right wing.[LNB]Lincoln took the lead after Jarrett was allowed time to control a cross into the box at his feet and slot past Cervi's left post from close range.[LNB]Ryan Conroy, who started the match on the left wing, moved into the left-back role on 25 minutes, allowing the versatile Cillian Sheridan to leave the centre-half position and move onto the flank.[LNB]Thereafter Celtic turned the screw and were level when Murphy picked up a Sheridan pass on the edge of the box, turned and drove in off the post.[LNB]Just four minutes later Hutchinson reacted quickly to a loose ball only yards from the goal line to hammer the ball in and give the Parkhead side an interval lead.[LNB]Josh O'Keefe forced Cervi into a fantastic diving save at the start of the second half.[LNB]But Hutchinson doubled his tally on 65 minutes when he pounced on a loose ball inside the penalty box and two minutes later Ferry unleashed a swerving shot from around 30 yards past around Joe Anyon.[LNB]Daniele Giordano, Declan Gallacher, Filip Twardzick, Sean Fitzharris and Jordan Lowdon came on for their debut appearances in the first-team.
