Mowbray confirms duo's exit

Midfielder Paul Hartley and striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink have both left Celtic following the end of their contracts.

New Bhoys boss Tony Mowbray has confirmed that neither of the two out of contract players will be offered new deals to remain at Parkhead.

"I had a good long conversation with Paul when he came in to see me," revealed Mowbray.

"The outcome of that is Paul won't be offered a new contract. He is free to look for other employment.

"I have had no contact with Jan. He is free to seek other employment and I'm pretty sure that's what he will be doing at the moment."

Both Hartley and Vennegoor of Hesselink have been linked with moves to Greek football.
