Mowbray unfazed by Hibs return

Mowbray began his managerial career at Easter Road in May 2004, guiding them to two top-four finishes in the Scottish Premier League before he left to take over at West Brom in October 2006. The former Ipswich and Celtic defender returns to Leith for the first time since returning to Scotland in the summer to replace Gordon Strachan at Parkhead. Only Derek Riordan and Ian Murray, who had spells at Celtic and Rangers respectively before returning to Hibs, and Chris Hogg, played for Hibs under Mowbray which led the Hoops' boss to play down the significance of the fixture. "I really enjoyed the two and a half years there," Mowbray said. "I have great respect for the club and the people at the club who gave me an opportunity to start in management. "We enjoyed some good times there and I worked with some very talented boys, some of whom have moved on in their careers since. "I don't think there are too many players still there from my time but a couple have been away and come back. "So there has been a big turnaround in footballers but the supporters remain the same. "Once you are a Hibs fans you are always a Hibs fan. "They will be supporting their team on Sunday but my prime aim to make sure they have an unhappy afternoon." Celtic defender Danny Fox believes Hibs will offer the Hoops their most difficult test in the SPL so far this season. The Parkhead side beat Aberdeen 3-1 at Pittodrie on the opening day then crushed St Johnstone 5-2 at Celtic Park last week. "You have to say it will be our toughest test," the former Coventry player said. "They are unbeaten in their first two SPL games, like us, so they will be confident. "They have Anthony Stokes up front, and Derek Riordan, so it's going to be tough. They are very good going forward and our back four will have to be very strong." Hibernian v Celtic.
