The Hoops may remain top of the Scottish Premier League but are well aware that a positive reaction will be demanded of them in the wake of the 2-1 reverse to Rangers.[LNB]And, as far as Mowbray is concerned, now is the time for his side to show the mettle which earned them a move to the east end of Glasgow in the first place.[LNB]"If you are not a big, strong personality then you probably can't play here because of the expectation level," he said.[LNB]"On the back of the defeat at Ibrox, for instance, the expectation level is that we've got to beat Motherwell.[LNB]"The players have to be big enough characters.[LNB]"That's why, when you recruit players for this club, one of the main things you look at, along with their talent, is their personality, their character and strength of mind and that they can cope with the expectations of the supporters."[LNB]Like Celtic, Motherwell had a change of manager over the summer and Mowbray has been impressed by what he has seen of Fir Park boss Jim Gannon so far.[LNB]"I like Jim Gannon and the way his teams are set up," he said.[LNB]"I watched his Stockport team a lot and I don't think it's too dissimilar to the way I would have set my Hibernian or West Brom teams up.[LNB]"They preach passing, moving, thoughtful, thinking football.[LNB]"The different challenge for me at this football club, of course, is to win every week.[LNB]"The expectation is to win every week and marry that together with a brand and style of football that is pleasing on the eye for supporters who come and hope we are going to win with a bit of style.[LNB]"Jim is doing it at a different level with young Scottish players but he is basically just embedding the demands on those players that it's not a crime to get the ball and pass it and play it forward."[LNB]Gannon believes Motherwell can cause an upset at Parkhead if his players stick to their gameplan.[LNB]"I keep encouraging the lads and show them, by video analysis and by education, what's been working well for us," he said.[LNB]"The players have some good strengths and I think we need to stick to those strengths.[LNB]"There are times when we perhaps try to showcase a little bit or indulge ourselves by doing difficult things.[LNB]"There will be a time and a place in the game for that, but what we have to do is be solid and professional and go about our jobs really well, both when we have got the ball and when we haven't got the ball.[LNB]"If we do that, then I think the players will be proud of themselves at the end of the game, that they have given Celtic a really good match."[LNB]Only an Allan McGregor penalty save prevented Motherwell taking maximum points against Rangers last month and Gannon wants a similarly disciplined performance against the other half of the Old Firm.[LNB]"All I want them to do is stay in the game and focus on their jobs, and acquit themselves really well in the roles we want them to do," he added.[LNB]"If they do that, it gives themselves a chance of winning."[LNB][LNB]
