Motherwell no walkover

It will not be a simple case of turning up and picking up three points at Fir Park Johan Mjallby does not expect an easy game when the side runs out onto the Fir Park pitch for the last league game of the season. Motherwell may shoot themselves in the foot if they win today as they will miss out on a Europa League place. The pair meet again next weekend on Scottish Cup final duty and the Steelmen will secure European football just by turning up if Celtic are crowned SPL champions today. For that to happen, Neil Lennon's players need to have secured a better result than Rangers at Kilmarnock. Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has admitted he will field a weakened side at Parkhead and is set to give rookie 'keeper Lee Hollis his debut. However, assistant manager Mjallby believes the Steelmen will be going for a shock victory.  He said: "They will go out to win the game. If you are a footballer, you can't go out not to win a game. I don't know what side Stuart McCall is going to pick, he has a cup final to think about as well. But that is not important, the important thing is that the manager and myself picks the right team. We have to put the pressure on Rangers. We need to make sure it's three points for us because it's not going to go to goal difference. The players definitely have the belief that we can win the title but obviously we have to do our business first. What Rangers do at Kilmarnock is not in our hands.''  Mjallby admits it would have been preferable to have Kris Commons available for Sunday's crunch game. The Scotland midfielder was sent off after picking up two yellow cards in the 3-0 win at Tynecastle on Wednesday night. The first caution was for simulation and the second came after he left the field to celebrate his 14th goal since signing from Derby in January. Mjallby said: "It is a big blow for us. He has been magnificent since he came to play for us. He has brought a lot of goals and he is very important for our attacking play. But what can you do? Joe Ledley and Beram Kayal are injured so we have to cope with it and we have a big enough squad to cope. Hopefully it will not be of importance for us.''
