Mikael Lustig feels Celtic's victory over Barcelona has justified his decision to stay

Mikael Lustig believes Celtic's UEFA Champions League victory over Barcelona proves he was right to shun a move elsewhere. The Swedish full-back had offers on the table during the January transfer window, but opted to commit his future to Celtic. That decision has now been justified, with Lustig's show of faith allowing him to take in a memorable European night at Parkhead. He is delighted to have played his part in an historic win over Barcelona, but is also keen to point out that Celtic still have work to do if they are to prolong their continental adventure. Lustig said: "A night like that justifies my decision to come to Celtic. It was all positive. "When I came here the big goal was to reach the Champions League and I don't think too many teams would have managed this group as well as we have. "I never expected we would be where we are at this stage, though. "We feel that we can get at least a draw in Lisbon. I think Benfica will be much better at home than at Celtic Park, but we have a chance. "I'm not saying that we're going to go over there and win, but if we defend the way we have in the other Champions League games then we have a chance."
