Stephen McManus will make a decision on his Celtic future after talking with Neil Lennon and Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan.

The Hoops defender is on loan at Middlesbrough with Boro boss Strachan apparently keen to keep him at the Riverside. However, Parkhead interim boss Lennon indicated that if he got the job on a permanent basis, he would like the Scotland international to play a part in his plans next season.

McManus, who scored his first goal for Boro this week in the 2-0 win at Plymouth, said: "I've certainly enjoyed my time on a personal level and we'll see what happens."

He added: "It's a great bunch of players and we'll see how it goes.

"We'll sit down in the summer with Gordon Strachan, me and Neil Lennon and see what's happening.

"I'm here to do a job. I'm contracted here until the end of the season and I'll give it my best shot.

"I'll give 110% every week."
