McGinn welcomes Lennon appointment

Celtic star Niall McGinn has hailed the appointment of Neil Lennon as Bhoys manager and believes he can take the Hoops to the next level.[LNB] Lennon was confirmed as Bhoys boss on a permanent basis after impressing in a caretaker role at the back end of last season.[LNB]The former captain took charge of the team after Tony Mowbray's sacking in March and he won all eight SPL games he was in charge of.[LNB]McGinn insists Lennon was the unanimous choice of the dressing room for the job and is confident he is the right man to lead the side back to glory after a disappointing season last term.[LNB]"I am delighted for Neil to get the job on a permanent basis," McGinn told skysports.com.[LNB]"Neil did very well when he took charge at the end of last season as he won all eight SPL games he was in charge for with the only blip coming in the Scottish Cup [against Ross County].[LNB]"All the players were behind Neil for the job as the atmosphere with him in training and everything was very good.[LNB]"Neil said he wanted to bring the crowds back to Celtic Park next season and that is a good thing and as players that is what we want here.[LNB]"We need to get last season out of our heads and do our job on pitch and bring some trophies back to the club.[LNB]"Neil has been through it all and Celtic and I firmly believe he is the right man to get the team back on track."
