McCourt extends Bhoys deal

Northern Ireland winger Pat McCourt has signed a new extended three-year contract with Celtic.

The 26-year-old still had 12 months left on his current deal, but was offered fresh terms after reported interest from Blackpool in his services.

McCourt told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted to commit my future to Celtic. As a Celtic supporter, everyone knows the feeling I have for the club.

"It was an absolute dream come true to sign for the club in the first place.

"This is where I want to play my football and I now look forward to the challenges ahead and fighting for my place in the team."

McCourt joined the Bhoys in the summer of 2008 and has since scored three goals in 19 appearances.
