Bodnar has revealed that while the Scottish champions were running the rule over striker Marc Janko, his Red Bull Salzburg team-mate, in December, he also caught their eye.[LNB]Capped 38 times by his country, former Roda JC, Dynamo Kiev and Debrecen star Bodnar's contract expires in the summer.[LNB]"Originally Celtic wanted to sign our goal machine Marc Janko but in the games they scouted him, I did great too," said Bodnar.[LNB]"I scored a goal and provided assists so they became interested in me too. They made an approach to Salzburg in order to sign me but the Austrian officials stated there's no amount of money they would sell me or Janko for.[LNB]"But I don't think that the story is over because I know they will make contact again this summer.[LNB]"The club didn't want to sell us because Salzburg want to win the Austrian Bundesliga.[LNB]"My bosses told me that they'll let me go this summer for free if I want but in January I'm not for sale at any price."[LNB]Bodnar has not ruled out signing a new contract with his current club.[LNB]"If I stay here, I won't be disappointed because I feel good here," he said.[LNB]"I could adapt easily, I enjoy football and Salzburg want me to stay too.[LNB]"We're planning to sit together about the possible extension of my contract."[LNB]Bodnar added: "I'm happy that Celtic showed interest, it must be good to play football in Glasgow but there are other teams - with the chance to play in the Champions League - too which may offer me a contract.[LNB]"I admit that I'd love to play at a big club."[LNB]Meanwhile, Janko's agent, Georg Stanggassinger, revealed this week that the striker had visited Celtic last month and could move there in the summer.[LNB]But Austrian league leaders Salzburg are determined to hold onto their 31-goal forward, who recently extended his contract until 2013.[LNB]Sporting director Heinz Hochhauser said: "Marc's goal remains to play in the Champions League with Salzburg, and only when that doesn't happen will there be any more discussion.[LNB]"He signed an extension to his deal last month and we thought that would bring an end to all of this (transfer speculation), but it seems it's not the case."[LNB][LNB]
