Loovens hopes for return of fans

Celtic defender Glenn Loovens hopes the club's stay away fans will continue to pour back into Parkhead if the Bhoys keep up their form. Numbers are up on last season but still well short of capacity at Parkhead after finishing last term empty-handed. The Hoops sit joint top of the SPL with Rangers after six games and Loovens claims more support from their fans could make all the difference. "In the end, the fans stayed away a bit but it's getting better," he said. "We had a good crowd for the last two games so hopefully we can play well and get them back. "With them behind us, we are obviously going to be a lot stronger." Celtic host Hamilton on Saturday in a game they will be expected to win as they bid to maintain their 100% record. Loovens added: "We are Celtic and we should win games, especially at home, no matter who we play. "It will be no different this Saturday. We will have to be sharp and strong and make sure we do well and take the three points. "Hopefully the run can continue. We won't get carried away, we will just keep doing what we are doing at the moment and hopefully we can have a great run." Celtic have conceded just two goals in the SPL so far this season and Loovens believes his partnership with Daniel Majstorovic has had a positive impact on his own game. "It's going very well, he's a good experienced player," he said. "We've got quite a young team so I think someone like him is a real asset. "When you have a good player next to you, you play better yourself so I'm really pleased. "The partnership is quite solid and hopefully we can keep it going. "It's the best start so far. It's going well so we have to make sure we keep working hard in training and take the three points again this weekend."
