Levein in the hunt for two keepers

Zaluska has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Scottish Premier League champions, leaving Levein with a void to fill in his squad.[LNB]The United manager also revealed Zaluska's understudy Michael McGovern is likely to leave as well, having not played a single minute since joining the club from Celtic last summer.[LNB]That means once a number one is found, the search will begin afresh for a back-up keeper.[LNB]Levein said in the Evening Telegraph: "Nothing is definite yet, but it looks like Michael McGovern might not be here next season.[LNB]"If he does move, we will need two keepers and, that being the case, I think this time I would want an experienced back-up for the number one.[LNB]"This year, we went in with two guys who did not have much experience at first-team level and we've basically got away with, but it's not a risk I'll probably take again.[LNB]"Right now, I'd say we are looking at four serious candidates for the number one jersey, and, once that's tied up, we'll look at what is available in terms of back-up.[LNB]"Ideally, I would see that as someone who is maybe coming to the end of their career and who would not have a problem if they were not playing every week.[LNB]"At the same time, he would have to be the type who kept themselves sharp and ready to step in if needed."[LNB][LNB]
