Celtic captain Neil Lennon admits he is surprised by his side's flying start to the new season.
The Bhoys lead the SPL by eight points, while they have also impressed in the Champions League, with Lennon shocked by the superb run of form.
He said after the 2-1 win over Motherwell: "I am surprised at how it has gone and very pleased with it.
"The manager has bought well and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Thomas Gravesen gave the dressing room a lift at a time when we'd lost Stilian Petrov, who was a huge player for us.
"They have big qualities and personalities and Lee Naylor is the type of player we've needed at left-back for three or four years.
"Many of the players are a year wiser and they are a year further down the line with the manager.
"The performances have been top-class and I hope we can keep the consistency going."
