Lennon hit by yet another injury blow
Bangura out for up to three months
Mohamed Bangura looks set to miss up to three months of the season with a knee injury suffered during his substitute appearance against Rennes last week.
The 22-year-old hitman arrived at the club in a deal worth up to £2.2m from swedish side AIK in the summer and has so far struggled to break into Neil Lennon's first team plans. He has made seven substitute appearances so far but has yet to find the back of the net.
The Sierra Leone international will see a specialist today but it is feared the injury could rule him out till the new Year at the absolute earliest.
Bangura is the latest in a long line of players in the Lennoxtown treatment room with Emiolio Izaguirre crocked until the New Year at the earliest. Add to that the long-term injuries of Scott Brown and Kelvin Wilson and it doesn't make pleasant reading for Lennon.
Glenn Loovens, Kris Commons and Georgios Samaras will all miss tonight's Scottish Communities League Cup tie at Easter Road through minor injuries.
However, Gary Hooper insists that the injuries are no excuse and that they have enough depth to the squad to get through this difficult period.
He said: "There are a lot of injuries all over the squad, but we've got the players to deal with it and on Saturday I thought we dealt with it very well," he said of the 2-1 over Aberdeen."
