Lennon spurs us on - Wilson

Mark Wilson believes the trouble which has surrounded Neil Lennon this season makes the Hoops players want to win the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title "even more."

Celtic boss Lennon had bullets sent through the post to him earlier in the season and then a parcel bomb intended for him was intercepted. And the manager was involved in another controversial incident on Wednesday night at Tynecastle when he was attacked by a fan in the second half after Gary Hooper had scored his second goal in the 3-0 win over Hearts.

Celtic are one point behind SPL leaders Rangers with both teams having one game to play, and Wilson said: "It kind of spurs us on a bit and makes you want to win the championship even more. It will be difficult but we have given ourselves a chance."

He added: "Twice recently it has turned on the last day. A few years ago Celtic went to Fir Park and were one up and managed to lose the title and so you can only hope that something like that can happen again.

"It is a bit sickening looking back at the Inverness defeat last week and you cast your mind back to the Dundee United and Inverness games at home when they scored in the last few minutes and you think, 'What if?'

"But it's done now and there is nothing we can do about it really apart from win against Motherwell and pray something happens at Rugby Park (where Rangers face Kilmarnock).

"It would be nice to get a piece of luck and for something to happen for us."
