Lennon looking east for talent

Celtic have to make the best use of their resources and are looking for talent where they can afford the fees. Celtic may be making a move for an attacking midfielder from the middle east to supplement their squad for 2010-11. Mohammed ‘Gedo’ Nagy is on Ittihad's books just now and is said to be interested in a move. His style of play could be the type Neil Lennon wants to add to his side. The Egytian side are said to have been offered £600k to allow the Egyptian international to move on loan with a view to permanent transfer if things all work out well. It may not be just a case of just offering the money as other clubs are interested in Gedo including Egyptian champions Al-Ahlihy who played Celtic in the Wembley Cup last summer. The Parkhead club hope to land Gedo before Al-Alihy or any other club can make their move. And they are boosted by the news that Geddo does not want to play for any other Egyptian club. Ittihad board member Sherif Al-Helw said: "Celtic offered £600,000 to loan Gedo for next season, and we are considering it. Ahli have also shown interest recently. In addition to that, Gouna also want him. It will be very difficult to keep Gedo next season because the offers he has match his ambitions and are too good to turn down."
