Lennon left hanging on

The general purposes committee want to see each other face to face before considering Neil Lennon's case There is little chance of Neil Lennon hearing anytime this week if he is to be punished for comments made following his dismissal to the stand by referee Craig Thomson during the 2-0 defeat by Hearts at Tynecastle last month. The general purposes committee was meant to meet on Monday and Lennon's case was said to be on the agenda. However, the weather intervened and prevented the meeting taking place at Hampden. It was reported that Lennon's case had consequently been discussed by the committee via conference call and that the decision would be relayed to him this week. However, a source said: "Neil Lennon's case has not been discussed by conference call and will not be discussed by conference call. It will not be discussed until all the committee members can meet face to face."
