Lennon lauds midfield duo

Celtic manager Neil Lennon hailed the performances of central midfield pair Joe Ledley and Beram Kayal following their 3-1 victory over Dundee United. Kayal continued the form that earned him the Clydesdale Bank Premier League player of the month award as Celtic restored their five-point lead over Rangers at Tannadice yesterday. And Ledley again justified his manager's decision to keep him in central midfield while captain Scott Brown started out wide. Lennon described the pair as "fantastic" and added in the Evening Times: "In my opinion, Ledley completely ran the game in the first half - he was excellent. He was all over the place, winning tackles, making passes and getting up and down the park and it was great to see. "Then, after the break, it was Kayal who took the initiative when we needed him to and he was also outstanding for us in there."
