Lennon: Draw has put a dent in title bid

Neil Lennon admits Celtic's dramatic draw against Hamilton has put a dent in their bid to strengthen their grasp on top spot in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. But the Hoops boss refused to criticise his players as they battled from behind to earn a point against the SPL's bottom side at New Douglas Park last night. Celtic had hoped to extend their lead over Rangers to 10 points with wins over Accies and then Hibernian this weekend, before their rivals are next in action. But those plans were scuppered when Simon Mensing grabbed a surprise opener for Hamilton, with Anthony Stokes netting for Celtic in the final minute from the penalty spot to secure a 1-1 draw. "It's put a dent on the run we were having," said Lennon. "We expected to come here and do well. It's two points dropped from my point of view but there is a long, long way to go yet. "We've got Hibs on Saturday and we just have to get that final pass better in the final third and we will be okay. I'm not unhappy with the team at the moment. Considering we've got five strikers out, it was a decent performance. The amount of chances we created was pleasing."
