Laszlo: Pressure is on Celtic chief

The Hoops have made an unbeaten start to the SPL season but a late capitulation saw them lose Thursday night's Europa League opener at Hapoel Tel-Aviv. The defeat was regarded as something of a shock but Laszlo was also unimpressed by Celtic's two previous performances against Hibernian and Dundee United. He said: "If you also saw in the league, they were not so fantastic. They won 1-0 against Hibs away, then 1-1 against Dundee United, now they lose 2-1. "You don't ever know what is inside in the team but now maybe it's a chance for us also to have success. "If you go to Celtic Park I think, for every Scottish team, it is something special. "You play against a team which is one of the biggest in the country and you maybe don't have this pressure. Here, Celtic have the pressure." Laszlo has yet to taste defeat at Parkhead since becoming Hearts boss just over a year ago, drawing 0-0 and 1-1 last season. He said: "Especially in the last games at Celtic Park, we definitely played good football. Also successful - 0-0, 1-1 - this is okay." Laszlo will look to exploit any tiredness in the Celtic ranks after their players arrived back from Tel Aviv at around 4am on Friday. But the Jambos boss reckons Mowbray has a strong enough squad to cope with any fatigue and also fears a backlash from Thursday's result. He said: "Celtic have a big squad and they have a good squad. They have players also who can come from the bench and can make big trouble for every team. "For me at this stage, it's better if Celtic won in Israel - maybe they'd take this game more easy. "Now they've lost against maybe on paper the weakest team in the group. "Maybe the frustration is also a little bit deeper and they would like to show more on Sunday against us." Young full-back Craig Thomson cannot wait for his first trip to Parkhead as a first-team player. "The nerves will obviously kick in because it's that big an occasion," said the 18-year-old, who has burst onto the scene this season following an injury to Eggert Jonsson. "But excited at the same time because, at this age, you want to play against players like Aiden McGeady."
