Ki Sung-yueng knew a big win was on the cards
There is still more to come from Ki Sung-yueng Ki Sung-yueng was just waiting for the big win he could see coming in recent weeks. However, he was surprised that the win was by nine goals scored against Aberdeen at Parkhead on Saturday. Ki knew somebody was going to be in for a hard time when everything clicked, but not by such a margin. The South Korean said: "We didn't expect 9-0. Maybe five or six but especially in the second half, we dominated the game and punished them. It was an unbelievable result. It was my first time experiencing 9-0 and it won't happen in my life again. If we had lost again it would have been very hard to catch Rangers so that's why we worked harder in training and in games. If we keep playing like this I think we can win the league." Ki promised the Hoops fans there was more to come from him - but insisted his Young Player of the Month award should be shared among the whole team. He went on: "I am not at my best yet. There is more to come from me. I didn't expect this reward. But it's not for me, it's for all the players who have been playing recently." Neil Lennon, speaking ahead of Wednesday night's SPL clash with Hearts at Tynecastle, was fulsome in his praise for the young midfielder who first made the breakthrough in January. The manager said: "Ki has been fantastic. I'm delighted with his attitude and the patience that he showed at the start of the season. We knew we had a good player there. He manipulates the ball well under pressure and he has a good presence about him as well. I like his temperament and he brings added composure to the game. His all-round game has come on leaps and bounds."
