Kennedy seals loan exit

Celtic defender John Kennedy has completed his loan switch to Norwich City and will remain at Carrow Road until January 1 2009.

Preston North End and Motherwell were also interested in securing the 24-year-old's services for the first half of the season, but Kennedy has opted to join the Canaries.

City boss Glenn Roeder said: "When you see him, he's a real presence. You certainly wouldn't want to pick a fight with him on a Saturday night.

"I'm very impressed with his attitude, and he's obviously got very strong mental toughness to come through the injuries that he has.

"He now deserves luck to stay fit and not break down again. If he does and he helps us to a good first half of the season, then he's working back to full fitness to go back to Celtic in the second half of the season."
