Izaguirre planning Celtic stay

Emilio Izaguirre has revealed he is planning to stay at Celtic despite receiving an offer from Premier League champions Manchester United.[LNB] The Honduran defender revealed on Saturday the Red Devils were keen to snap him up following an impressive debut season in British football.[LNB]Having been drafted in by Celtic last summer, Izaguirre shone for the Parkhead outfit en route to picking up multiple Player of the Year awards.[LNB]Such fine form drew admiring glances from Old Trafford, with Sir Alex Ferguson of the opinion that the 25-year-old would be a useful addition to his Red Devils ranks.[LNB]Izaguirre is prepared to snub United's interest, though, in favour of honouring his contract at Celtic.[LNB]"It was a fabulous season and it went so well that it seems like a dream," he said in the Daily Record.[LNB]"I have no words to describe how happy I am in Glasgow, especially now my family live with me.[LNB]"It is true that there were offers from Manchester United and other clubs.[LNB]"But I don't think anything will happen. My hope is to stay at Celtic.[LNB]"My aim is to recover to full fitness quickly so I can play again with my club."
