Celtic assistant manager Johan Mjallby believes Cheque Centre PFA Scotland Player of the Year Emilio Izaguirre could be one of the best left-backs in the world. The Honduras international collected the prize on Sunday night ahead of team-mate Gary Hooper, Old Firm rival Steven Naismith and Kilmarnock's Alexei Eremenko after making a major impact in his first season at Celtic Park. The 24-year-old performed for Honduras at the World Cup last summer but has shot to attention since joining Celtic from Motagua in his homeland. Mjallby said: "Emilio has probably been the signing of the season and it's brilliant for him to win. He has been absolutely marvellous. He is maybe not the best left-back in the world but he is up there. "I think this boy has every chance to be one of the best in the world."
