Hoops give up on Huseklepp
Celtic have admitted defeat in their attempts to sign Erik Huseklepp.
Celtic had been involved in protracted negotiations with SK Brann over the striker, who declared himself willing to waive a scheduled bonus worth a reported £180,000 if he was sold.
But Celtic assistant manager Johann Mjallby has admitted there is no chance of a deal being reached to bring the 26-year-old to Parkhead.
Mjallby said: "It`s dead. We put in a bid that we thought was fair enough. They didn`t agree with that. You can say that`s down the drain and we`ll look for other targets."
