Jos Hooiveld has told Celtic that they will win the Clydesdale Bank Premier League if he stays in the team.

The Hoops stopper started the campaign partnering Daniel Majstorovic but lost his place to fellow Dutchman Glenn Loovens and only got on as a substitute against Aberdeen at Parkhead on Saturday because Thomas Rogne was sent off.

Hooiveld was quoted on STV's website as having told Dutch broadcaster RTV Drenthe: "Last Saturday I played in the second half (of the 9-0 win over Aberdeen). The assistant coach (Johan Mjallby) spoke to me after the last training session. He asked me if I was ready and if I felt good. I told him: 'If you give me games I will give you the title'."
