Andreas Hinkel has turned up the heat ahead of the Old Firm clash at Parkhead on Tuesday by insisting Celtic are a better team than Rangers.[LNB] The German defender claims the Hoops are desperate to win to prove they are superior to the SPL champions, who are 11 points ahead.[LNB]Celtic have not beaten the Ibrox men in the the league since December 2008 but Hinkel said: "It is always a big game against Rangers and we can show that we are better than them.[LNB]"Of course the league is finished but we can show - not the world - but all of Scotland at least that Celtic are a better team than Rangers.[LNB]"We have won the last six games and that is always good for your confidence before the Rangers game.[LNB]"It is always important for Celtic to get a result against Rangers and every year it is the biggest game of the season.[LNB]"We know we cannot turn the season around but our next game is against the champions and we can show we can beat them."[LNB]Hinkel, however, is not interested in the views of Rangers striker Nacho Novo who last week blasted the Parkhead side and former Celtic manager Tony Mowbray's criticism of Walter Smith's tactics.[LNB]He said: "I don't think about it or care what he says as it is not very important for me."
