Hinkel: I can be scout for Stuttgart

The Gers travel to Germany for their opening Champions League game on Wednesday with both sides looking to get off to a good start in Group H. Hinkel is close friends with several of the Stuttgart squad and is open to any calls from his old side if they want any inside information on Rangers. "No-one has called me. Stuttgart have their scouts but if they want to know something, I can tell them," Hinkel told the Daily Record. "I know a lot of the players. I played with Mattieu Delpierre, Serdar Tasci, Hitzslperger and Cacau. I also know Jens Lehman from the national team. "Maybe it's a fault they don't call me. Maybe they will get punished but I'm always there if they want something." Hinkel admits Stuttgart are under pressure to win against Rangers and the full-back feels that could work to the Scottish champions' advantage. "Stuttgart are under pressure as they are 12th in the Bundesliga," added Hinkel. "Now they are at home and under pressure so maybe it's a good situation for Rangers to go there. "Stuttgart have to win and they have to make the running in the game. "But if they don't play well in the first 20 or 30 minutes I know the people in Stuttgart and they will be unhappy." VfB Stuttgart 8/13, Draw 9/4, Rangers 9/2
