Grant: Hoops can down Dinamo

The Parkhead side are in Russia needing to make history by overturning a first-leg deficit in Europe for the first time, following their 1-0 defeat at home last Wednesday. Manager Mowbray believes his side will again be on the front foot, as they were at Celtic Park when they missed several chances which would have made their task in Moscow more easily manageable. Grant is equally confident and insists his players are focused on what they have to do to upset the odds. "We know we have to win, that's for sure," said Grant. "That's the big thing, we have to win the game - draws don't count now. "We knew what we were going into in these two games, we knew how difficult it was going be and that was proved in the first game. "But we battled away and created chances, that gives us great hope and hopefully we will take them this time." Grant added: "We know that Moscow are very good on the break, they do that very well and have quick players in wide areas. "They create chances no matter who they play against and they won't change much, they may even be more defensive. "They played two strikers at Celtic Park, they might not do that at home because they are used to playing 4-5-1. "You have to have massive concentration (in defence) at the highest level but hopefully we can put the ball in the net at the other end." Grant hinted that midfielder Scott Brown will be handed a starting role if he shows no adverse effects following the hour he played in Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Sunderland in the friendly match at Celtic Park. Brown, who underwent surgery on his ankle at the end of the season, was absent for the first leg against Dinamo but is set to be pushed into the Celtic engine room as they try to rescue their Champions League hopes. Grant said: "We're chuffed as coaching staff to have him back. It's a big boost. "We are delighted that he got that period of time on the pitch on Saturday, it's been a hard graft all through the summertime. "He looked very good but it's important we see how he reacts because obviously it was a tough game for him and he hasn't had much football. "But he's a very, very good player and I think will get better. "The one thing you have to have against the top sides is all your best players available, and there is no doubt he comes into that."
