Fortune would prefer Celtic stay

Celtic striker Marc-Antoine Fortune is desperate to stay at the club and battle for a starting place in the first team.

The former West Brom star has been linked with a return to The Hawthorns but was surprisingly named in the Bhoys' line-up for Thursday's 2-0 Europa League play-off first leg win over Utrecht.

Fortune, who has scored 12 goals in 43 appearances for Celtic since moving to Glasgow 12 months ago, said: "I'm not thinking about moving.

"The manager is happy with me and I feel as though I'm playing well. I don't want to go anywhere and would rather the club kept me.

"It was a vital result (against Utrecht). Winning by two goals is good for us and we hope it is enough. To be honest, we were happy at 1-0. Now we just have to be careful about conceding goals when we go to Holland."
