Forster keen to stay on with Hoops
Fraser Forster would like to extend his loan at Celtic, provided Newcastle are happy for him to do so.[LNB] The 22-year-old goalkeeper joined the Hoops on a short-term deal over the summer and is set to remain at Parkhead until at least January.[LNB]He has thoroughly enjoyed his time in Glasgow, with Celtic having made a flying start to the 2010/11 campaign.[LNB]Forster has also been able to hold down a regular first-team role under Neil Lennon, a situation denied him at St James' Park.[LNB]He feels his development would be better served by playing week in, week out, but accepts that, with Steve Harper currently sidelined, he may be needed back at Newcastle later in the season.[LNB]"I am here to January at the shortest but I will worry about that down the line," Forster told the Daily Record.[LNB]"It's pointless worrying. Football can change in 24 hours but hopefully I can stay. I would be a bit gutted to go back.[LNB]"It depends on the circumstances - if I go back to play then, obviously, I am Newcastle's keeper and it is up to them.[LNB]"But I want to play week in, week out and sitting on a bench is not something I want. The only way I will progress in my career is if I am out playing in front of big crowds.[LNB]"I knew with being in Scotland I couldn't be called back right away when Harps got injured. That is fine by me as I want to be here playing for a massive club. I am exactly where I want to be."
