Celtic youngster James Forrest has revealed he is still in dreamland after the best week of his fledgling career.[LNB] Fresh from helping the club complete the Clydesdale Bank Under-19 League and Scottish Youth Cup double, the 18-year-old scored six minutes into his first-team debut in Saturday's SPL thrashing of Motherwell.[LNB]The whirlwind week has been all too much for the forward, who continues to pinch himself over what has unfolded.[LNB]"I'm still buzzing," said Forrest, who replaced Aiden McGeady for the final nine minutes of the Motherwell game.[LNB]"I was delighted to score, obviously, but I was delighted first of all just to get on - the goal topped it all off.[LNB]"It's been a bit crazy - the week's all just blurred together. But I think scoring the goal on Saturday was my highlight.[LNB]"Scoring on your debut at Celtic Park... you won't get a better feeling than that."[LNB]Forrest, who has been at Celtic since the age of nine, added: "My dad was at the game and he was obviously delighted as well.[LNB]"I also had loads of texts after the game from friends and old coaches all saying, 'Well done'.[LNB]"Now I want to get more of it."[LNB]Forrest has been an unused substitute on more than one occasion this season, so was surprised when interim manager Neil Lennon called on him on Saturday.[LNB]"I didn't actually expect to get on, but it went to 2-0 and he told me to get stripped," Forrest said.[LNB]"It was good just to get the last 10 minutes so I could get into the swing of things - it was a nice, gentle break-in.[LNB]"I wasn't even thinking about getting a goal beforehand - it was just a nice wee extra."[LNB]He added: "I didn't really know what to do when I scored, though, so thankfully everyone swamped me."[LNB]Forrest's week to remember might not have happened at all had he not recovered from a knee injury suffered in an under-19 Old Firm derby defeat two months ago.[LNB]He told Celtic View: "I was out for about six weeks but managed to come back recently and play a few games.[LNB]"Neil Lennon told me when I came back from injury that he was looking to get me on in a first-team game, but he advised me that it would be better for me if I got back into things by playing with the under-19s first."[LNB]And Forrest believes he is not the only member of the under-19s ready to break into the first team.[LNB]He said: "They are all on a high and hopefully a lot of the older ones will get new contracts and a shot at the first team soon.[LNB]"There are a lot who are capable of the step up."
